The Unconscious Mind

The most important roles of the Unconscious mind in my journey.

  • Stores Memories – all your memories are stored at the unconscious level, even the ones you don’t consciously remember

  • Runs the body – it holds a blueprint of your perfect health

  • Preserves the body – it maintains the integrity of the body

  • Is the domain of the emotions

  • Enjoys serving and needs clear orders to follow – to be given by the conscious mind

  • Controls and maintains all perceptions

  • Generates, stores, distributes and transmits “energy”

  • Maintains instincts and generates habits

  • Is programmed to continually seek more and more.  If something feels good the unconscious mind wants more of a good thing

  • Takes everything personally. This means that any judgment you have of others, it stores as a judgment of yourself.

  • Works on the principal of least effort

  • Does not process negatives directly.

Given these roles, you can see that having communication with your unconscious mind is necessary to understand why you do what you do.
